I'm Cobalt, a 20-year-old hobbyist developer with a strong interest in building and maintaining software. I work on a variety of projects, including backends, bots, tools, and the infrastructure that supports them.
I enjoy working across the full stack, from servers, networking, and DNS to reverse proxies and user-facing interfaces. Most of my experience is self taught, developed through projects, experimentation, problem-solving, and continuously improving the systems I work with (banging my head against a wall).
Strongest first, and an honest read — not buzzword bingo.
My default for scripting, APIs, bots and automation.
Years of gameplay systems and scripting, Roblox above all.
Tooling, automation and backend logic.
Frontend and Node backends — including this site.
Early days — drawn to the concurrency model and OTP.
Enough to read it and make small changes, no deep dive.
Routing, ports, firewalls, VPNs — and debugging everything that starts with "works on my machine".
APIs, databases, bots and services that have to stay up.
Clean, fast interfaces without the extra weight — structure before effects.
Domain setups, DNS records, SSL, reverse proxies and mail configuration.
Built and run my own locally hosted servers on games end to end for games which didnt support it.
Builds, upgrades, troubleshooting and server setups from bare metal up.
Windows and Linux, deployments, monitoring and everything in between.
Taking systems apart to understand how they actually work.
Email or Discord is the fastest way to reach me — code lives on GitHub.
